About the Program – Financial Assistance for Community Sports & Activities
The Community Centre Activity Subsidy is designed to help children under 17 years old living in Winnipeg participate in community programs they might not otherwise afford.
Who Can Apply?
✔️ Children under 17 years old residing in Winnipeg
✔️ Those needing financial assistance to participate in Community Centre-based programs
What’s Covered?
✅ Registration fees for eligible Community Centre programs
✅ Up to $400 per activity/athlete (maximum $800 per child per year, subject to funding availability)
✅ Consideration for additional support if income levels exceed standard eligibility—please provide details in your application
What’s NOT Covered?
❌ Elite sport programs (e.g., AA Hockey, Premier Soccer)
❌ Costs for camps, travel, championships, uniforms, equipment, wind-ups, or team photos
❌ Registration fees for nursery schools or daycares
