Dear Members and Stakeholders,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the South Winnipeg Community Centre (SWCC), originally scheduled for September 26th, 2024, has been postponed to November 6, 2024.
As mentioned in our original notice, there was a possibility of a potential delay, as the completion of our Audited Financial Statements is crucial for the AGM. Our auditors (Talbot & Associates CPA) have informed us that, due to this being a first-time audit, additional time is required to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements. The financial audit that is being prepared is more comprehensive than the financial review that is typically completed by Winnipeg community centres.
We understand that this delay may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause. Please be assured that this postponement is necessary to maintain the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
Additionally, we are extending the deadline for nominations to run for the Board of Directors to October 30, 2024. We encourage all interested community members to submit their nominations to agm@swcc1.ca by this new deadline.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work diligently to finalize the audit. We look forward to your participation in the AGM on the new date.

- Time: 7:00 PM (Board elections will be held following the presentation of the annual reports)
